The climate emergency is changing everything and its impacts will only increase in the years to come. Not only are systems becoming outdated, but so are ways of thinking, working and living. Preparing future generations for the transformations to come starts with equipping them with new ways of thinking and learning. Black Mountains College is dedicated to the urgent task of unleashing human potential.

Speaker:

Ben Rawlence is a writer, social scientist and former adviser to political parties in the UK and Africa. He is the founder and director of Black Mountains College and the author of three books on global issues: Radio Congo: Signals of Hope from Africa’s Deadliest War (2012), City of Thorns: Nine Lives in the World’s Largest Refugee Camp (2016), and The Treeline: The Last Forest and the Future of Life on Earth (2022).
