How To Not Get Replaced By Artificial Intelligence
Webinar

Background: As Artificial Intelligence takes on more of the work once done by people, many professionals are asking whether their own role is at risk. Harley Street Psychiatrist and best-selling author and broadcaster Dr Raj Persaud looks at the psychology behind that fear, and at what humans can still offer that machines can’t, and how to stay valuable in a world of increasingly capable AI.
Speaker:

Dr Raj Persaud is a Consultant Psychiatrist who worked at the Bethlem Royal and Maudsley NHS Hospitals in London from 1994 to 2008 and as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry, University of London. He has also been a Research Fellow at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the USA and the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square. Unusually for a psychiatrist, he holds a First Class Honours degree in psychology alongside eight other degrees and diplomas, including a Master’s in Statistics. He has nearly 100 publications in journals such as The Lancet, the BMJ and the British Journal of Psychiatry. His awards include the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Research Prize and Medal, the Morris Markowe Prize, the Maudsley’s Denis Hill Prize and the Osler Medal. He is a Fellow of University College London and of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

From 2004 he was Visiting Professor for Public Understanding of Psychiatry at Gresham College, and he edited the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ first book for the public, The Mind: A User’s Guide. Like all five of his previous books, it was a top ten best-seller. Rated by fellow psychiatrists as one of the top ten in the UK, he was named by The Times as one of the world’s Top Twenty Mental Health Gurus. He has also served as Podcast Editor for the Royal College of Psychiatrists. His TED talk has had over 3.4 million views.
