Islamic investing eschews a variety of sectors and activities, a process often referred to as negative screening. But it also seeks positive attributes surrounding financial sustainability, management integrity and social responsibility. Over decades the combination of these factors have contributed to the creation of portfolios demonstrating superior performance, excellent downside protection and lower than benchmark risk as measured by annualized standard deviation of returns; in short, Alpha. In this webinar, Scott will discuss Islamic equity portfolio construction, the rules that guide stock selection, and how Islamic investing can reduce risk.
